This exhibition at Tokonoma gallery in Buenos Aires, Argentina, arose from Luciana Mônaco's project of artistic recycling of glass and porcelain discards broken in restaurants developed in São Paulo and Buenos Aires. Starting from a selection of damaged utensils, shards and fragments we created a series of assemblages adding other objects from our collection. An amulet found in a Thai market is related to a glass that reminds us of the sea, the trunk of an elephant that leaves its owner, the body of a sailor from Los Angeles that receives a Brazilian doll's head, the statuette found in a Berlin flea market that appears behind my grandmother's plate.
